Even though we were only staying one night, on each occasion we were welcomed by extremely friendly and helpful staff, who gave us all the help we needed in finding a quiet traditional Greek restauarant (the Niohori - superb), arranging taxis and getting to the ferry port. We used to stay in one of the more expensive hotels close to Elli beach until we observed that there was no point in paying the double when we could stay at the Moschos hotel which may not have a sea view but which otherwise offers all the comfort we expect of a hotel and which is excellently located, being close both to the beaches and to the old town.
